How can speech therapy help my child with their academics and school performance?

Children with communication disorders frequently do not perform at grade level. They may struggle with reading, have difficulty understanding and expressing language, misunderstand social cues, avoid attending school, show poor judgment, and have difficulty with tests.

Chain Bridge Speech & Language can provide your child individualized and customized therapy sessions conducted by a certified speech language pathologist that has direct experience in your child’s area of need.

As an administrator, what services can Chain Bridge Speech & Language provide to my school or center?

Our certified and licensed speech language pathologists can provide speech, language and hearing screenings at your school or daycare center. The therapist will conduct the screening at your facility. This screening will assess a child’s expressive/receptive language, articulation, fluency and voice. A hearing screening will also be conducted to identify a possible hearing loss that could be affecting a child’s communication skills.

Chain Bridge Speech and Language is also available to provide direct speech and language therapy at your facility. Please contact us with questions!

Do you take insurance?

Chain Bridge Speech & Language provides current diagnostic and procedural codes on each billing statement for the client or parent to submit to their insurance company. Claims are to be submitted by the client or parent to the insurance company and reimbursement shall be returned directly to the client or parent. Since insurance policies tend to differ, it is best practice to contact your insurance company directly to determine coverage. We will do everything we can to help you get reimbursed (i.e. submit our therapy notes, write progress notes). Let us know how we can help you through the process.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation of/Missed Appointments

We prefer you cancel appointments at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer those available times to other clients immediately. We are always aware there will be extenuating circumstances, such as a child being sick, where you may need to cancel that same day. There will be no charge for cases such as these as we completely understand that life happens! In other cases when there is a missed appointment and it has not been cancelled, then you will be charged for the entire session.

Sick Policy

We ask that you please take precautions when sending your sick child to their speech therapy session. Their performance may not be optimal for full participation and progress if they are sick. We prefer your child to be symptom-free for 24 hours. Your child’s health, the health of other families in our practice and the health of our staff are all important to us.

Weather Policy

We do NOT follow any particular school system regarding inclement weather closings. If we close the office due to inclement weather, we will contact you to cancel your session. We will also leave an automated message on our phone system to alert you of the office closing.
